PSALM 35 NIV

 PSALM 35 NIV

26 May all who gloat over my distress
    be put to shame and confusion;
may all who exalt themselves over me
    be clothed with shame and disgrace.

27 May those who delight
in my vindication
    shout for joy and gladness;
may they always say,
“The Lord be exalted,
    who delights in the
well-being
 of his servant.”

28 My tongue will proclaim your righteousness,
    your praises all day long.

LUKE 12 NIV

LUKE 12 NIV

22 Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear

28 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you—you of little faith!

32 “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.

Conflicting Natures

Romans 7: 5-6, 11-13 NIV

For when we were in the realm of the flesh, the sinful passions aroused by the law were at work in us, so that we bore fruit for death.

But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.

For sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, deceived me, and through the commandment put me to death.

So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous and good.

Did that which is good, then, become death to me? By no means! Nevertheless, in order that sin might be recognized as sin, it used what is good to bring about my death, so that through the commandment sin might become utterly sinful.

I'm having a wedding reception this weekend for all those
who couldn't make it to the small cerimony at the beginning of the year!
